Our raw materials come from high-quality sources: plastic waste from industry, the sea, agriculture, and the Belgian Blue Bag. By recycling and producing locally, we keep valuable materials in circulation and reduce the need for new raw materials. Every step, from collection and processing through to production, is part of a circular chain that transforms waste into sustainable new materials. The result: plastic sheet, boards and film made from recycled plastic, with a clear destination.

For us, recycling is never the end point. It is the beginning of something new. Every raw material that comes in reaches a crossroads: the moment when old material takes on a new direction.

In Europe we all seperate our waste. The boards from recycled material are an example how our waste is re-used in combination with industrial waste.

Recycled plastics

JAG Plastix offers a growing portfolio of recycled products. Behind these sheet there is a special story, as JAG Plastix has a coôperation with the Danish company PLASTIX A/S - a 'cleantech company'. This partner secures the first of three sources of waste and turns 'plastic soup' into re-usable sheet.

This first source - PLASTIX A/S - is specialized in turning fishnets and ropes into high quality raw materials. These nets and ropes are washed, regrinded and made ready for re-use and turned into HDPE and PP sheet.

The second source is the re-use of used nets from the agricultural industry. These used nets are washed, regrinded and turned into HDPE sheet.

The third source are restpieces or cut-offs from industrial users. These cut offs are never used into a finished product and collected in containers to be regrinded and turned into new ABS, HDPE, HIPS, PC and Green Cast sheet. In other words this is circular use of raw materials.

JAG Plastix made clear choices regarding recycling and the circular use of raw materials. We co-operate with innovative companies like the Danish PLASTIX A/S. Another partner has received in July 2024 again an award, the 'Ecovadis Sutainability Award' and the first steps towards bio degradable plastics have been made.

Made from "the plastic soup"

HDPE and PP sheet made from used fishing nets and rpoes coming out of the oceans.

Thisreduces the CO2 emission by 78% compared to the use of new raw materials.

Made of used fishnets

These HDPE sheet are a high quality product thanks to the use of used nets coming from the agricultural industry.

This reduces the CO2 emission - compared to 'virgin' - with 77%.

Made from industrial cut-offs

ABS, HDPE, HIPS, PC and Green Cast sheet made of industrial plastics that never made it to the end-user like rest pieces or off-cuts coming from the production process.

This reduces the CO2 emission with 76% compared to the use of new raw material.

Standard widths: 1300 * 1500 mm

Available in glossy - satin - matt and supermatt.

Made from waste from the Belgian Blue Bag and industrial waste.

In Europe, we separate our waste; in Belgium, certain waste ends up in the Blue Bag. These high-quality boards are produced from this waste, together with industrial waste.

Naturally, there are a number of standard dimensions and colors. However, it does not stop there, as we develop fully custom solutions together with the customer for applications with specific requirements.

The material PMMA can be regrinded to its original raw material without any effects on the finished product, nor the optical, nor the mechanical properties are affected. This process is known as de-polymerisation and offerrs the possibility to re-use these high quality raw materials for the production of these sheet. This process can be repeated time after time without any loss of quality - it is circular !

Recycled PMMA-XT

JAG Plastix alredy had a wide range of high-quality recycled plastics. In March '26 we added another product PMMA-XT. Below you'll find additional information on this new high-quality recycled product. .

These sheet are extruded acrylic sheets comprising at least 95 % recycled material from PMMA sheet waste. Available in clear transparent as well as in black and white opaque versions and these come in a range of different thicknesses and offers the same outstanding properties as extruded acrylic sheets manufactured conventionally. These high-quality recycled PMMA-XT features brilliant clarity with very good optical properties (L.T. of 92% - thickness 3mm) and excellent colour rendering. It is easy to process and its resistance to weathering and ageing is very good. These PMMA-XT sheet are the sustainable solution for many applications and can be recycled over and over again.
