Following the success of Compoplast in Canada and Australia, JAG Plastix acquired the sales rights for Europe in the summer of 2024. This was followed by over a year of testing and field pilot installations. After this intensive, successful testing period, these composite panels were introduced in Europe by JAG Plastix at the K-Messe in Düsseldorf in October 2025.

This composite panel consists of two materials:

A honeycomb core of Polypropylene (PP).
A top and bottom side each spanned twice crosswise with fiberglass – for the strongest result.

The Compoplast panel comes standard with an anti-slip layer, but is also available without an anti-slip layer.

These composite panels are used, among other things, as loading floors and partition walls for vans, horse trailers, in scaffolding and stage construction, and wherever 'lightweight' plays a role.

Compared to plywood, you save 50 to 65 percent of the weight.

Compared to aluminium sandwich panels, such as Alucore, you save more than half the price.

How is Compoplast produced?

Compoplast is a glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic sandwich panel. The glass fibers are arranged unidirectionally and formed flat into a panel. The glass fibers are held in place by their polypropylene matrix. The various layers are placed at a 90-degree angle to one another, so that the glass fibers form a cross-layered skin. The core of the panel is 100% polypropylene (PP) in a honeycomb shape. The PP core and the glass fiber are bonded together in an irreversible melting process, making delamination impossible.

What does B1 fire retardant mean?

Products labelled B1 fire retardant are hard to ignite. This makes it harder for a potential fire to spread. There are different classifications that indicate how materials react in a fire. A1 and A2 are non-flammable, the B1 class is hard to ignite and fire retardant, B2 is normally flammable and B3 is flammable. Many companies have to meet certain safety requirements according to standards set within their industry. The fire class is also part of this.
