Ultralight and superstrong composite panel
Compoplast panel: ultralight and superstrong
Compoplast: fibre optic with PP
Compoplast has been a succes since the introduction in Canada and Autralia. JAG Plastix introduced Compoplast in Europe on the K-Messe (Dusseldorf - Germany) in October 2025 and there was an instant interest in the product.
This composite panel exists of two materials
- A honeycomb structured core of 100% Polypropylene (PP)
- An upper and bottom skin of 4 layers of fibre optics.
Thanks to the combination of fibre optics and PP, the panel is very light and superstrong.
The panel comes standard with an anti-slip layer, but can be supplied without.
These composite panels are used for loading floors for trailers, vans, horse trailers, as seperationwalls and in the scalfolding construction, as stage floor and anywhere where lightweight is important.
How is Compoplast made ?
Compoplast is a fibre reinforced thermoplastic. The glass fibres are unidirectional arranged, flattened into a sheet and locked in placebacause of their polypropylene (PP) matrix. The different glass fibre layers - standard 4 layers - are positioned in an agle of 90 degrees on top of eachother, forming a so called cross-ply skin. The core of Compoplast is 100% polypropylene (PP) honeycomb. Core and skin are jooined in an inreversable melting process which makes delamination impossible.
