HDPE sheet
HDPE sheet
HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic in sheet and is used in many different industries.
The chemical and impact resistance combined with its good slide characteristics makes HDPE a popular kind of plastic, especially in the food industry. These HDPE sheet are odorless and tasteless.
HDPE sheet do not absorb moisture and can be used within a wide range of temperatures: -30C up to +80C. HDPE sheet have an apolair surface, for this reason it can not be glued; there are alternatives to attach HDPE sheet, e.g. welding.
HDPE sheet are easy to recycle, reducing the CO2 emission by 75%, compared to the use of virgin raw material. JAG Plastix offers HDPE sheet as a recycled product too, the information can be found below.
Industries where the use of HDPE is popular:
- Food industry
- Mechanical industry
- Chemical industry
- Energy industry
HDPE sheet: dimensions:
Min. thickness; 0,6 mm
Max. thickness: 20 mm
Max. width: 2000 mm
Max. length: 12000 mm
Or cut to size
Depending on the thickness, the maximum width may vary. Embossings and different colours are possible.
HDPE sheet: characteristics
- High chemical resistance
- Foodproof
- Good dielectric characteristics
- Moisture repellent
- Tough and impact resistant
- Density: 0,94 - 0,97
HDPE sheet
High-density polyethylene (HDPE), sometimes called polyethylene high-density (PEHD), is a thermoplastic polymer, produced from the monomere ethylene. High ratio toughness/weight.
Thanks to its weldable characteristics, HDPE offers extensive possibilities regarding 'construction'. The continues operating temperature of HDPE sheet is +80°C with the possibility to go up to 100°C for a short time. HDPE is food proof.

The "new" HDPE recycled sheet: 3 sources
Recycled HDPE sheet made of "the plastic soup"
Behind these sheet these is a special story to tell.
These recycled sheet come from three different 'sources' of waste. For the first source of waste, there is a cooperation with the Danish company PLASTIX A/S - a cleantech recycling company, specialised in processing fishnets and ropes to high quality raw materials.
PLASTIX A/S raw materials come not just from ropes and fishingnets out of the sea, but from several harbours too, where these materials are collected as waste. These products are sorted, washed and prepared to be recycled. Finally these raw materials are turned into 'new' HDPE sheet, coming from the 'plastic soup' give many inspiration for innovative products. Each sheet has its own character regarding colour, that gives the impression that the final product is not a mass product.
HDPE recycled sheet.
For HDPE recycled sheet there are 3 kinds of recycled material.
1. HDPE sheet made of fishnets and ropes out of the sea, or made of the so called 'plastic soup'.
2. HDPE sheet produced of used nets coming out of the agricultural industry.
3; HDPE sheet produced from cut-offs from the industry.
These three ways of recycling reduce the CO2 emission with roughly 75% compared to the use of virgin raw material.
Thickness: 1,5 - 25 mm
Standard dimensions: 1300 * 1500 mm
Or cutom made.

"New" HDPE sheet produced of maritime waste
The story behind this product: turn maritime waste into a valuable product.
For this product there is a cooperation with the Danish company PLASTIX A/S - a cleantech company, specialized in processing fishnets and ropes into valuable raw materials: "Green Plastic raw materials".

"New" HDPE sheet made of used nets from the agro-industry
The agri-industry has its plastic waste, like nets to protect crops.
These used nets are recycled into high quality HDPE sheet. Thanks to this reuse of raw materials we save over 75% of CO2 emission compared to the use of virgin raw material.
* Thickness: 1,5 - 20 mm
* Standard dimensions: 1300 * 1500 mm
* Or cutom made.
* Reach, RoHS cetified
* 100% recycable
Nets used in the agro industry
HDPE recycled sheet made of cut offs.
The third source are the cut-offs from industrial users. These cut-offs are collected in containers and refgrinded and turned into 'new' sheet
- HDPE sheet with high purity.
- 100% recycled cut offs of European origin.
- Large choice of colours and surfaces (structures).
- Reach, RoHS certified
- 100% recyclable
- Suitable for thermoplastic applications: displays, playground toys, suitcases etc..
