Binnen tal van sectoren gelden strikte regels in Europa, voor de chemische industrie, zoals in de kunststof industrie, is REACH een verordening.

Alle kunststof die JAG Plastix in het assortiment heeft zijn conform de Europese regelgeving. De betreffende certificaten worden op aanvraag aan u toegezonden. 

REACH

REACH is een verordening van de Europese Unie die werd vastgesteld om de gezondheid van mens en milieu beter te beschermen tegen gevaren die van chemische stoffen uitgaan en om het concurrentievermogen van de chemische industrie in de EU te versterken. REACH is er ook op gericht alternatieve methoden voor de gevarenbeoordeling van stoffen te stimuleren om het aantal tests op dieren te verminderen.

Als er geen REACH-certificaat is voor een kunststof plaat, zijn er verschillende risico's en verplichtingen verbonden aan het gebruik van deze stof. Het is belangrijk om te weten dat niet-geregistreerde stoffen niet in de handel mogen worden gebracht of gebruikt. Producenten en importeurs moeten hun stoffen registreren en aantonen dat de stof veilig wordt gebruikt. Als de stof geen REACH-certificaat heeft, zijn er beperkingen of verboden voor het gebruik, afhankelijk van de risico's die met de stof gepaard gaan. Het Europees Agentschap voor chemische stoffen (ECHA) coördineert de uitvoering van REACH en helpt bedrijven om de wetgeving te volgen en veilig te gebruiken chemische stoffen.

RoHS

RoHS staat voor "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" en is een Europese richtlijn die het gebruik van gevaarlijke stoffen in elektronische apparatuur beperkt.

RoHS is een richtlijn van de Europese Unie die is opgesteld om zowel de gezondheid van mensen als het milieu te beschermen door het gebruik van bepaalde gevaarlijke stoffen in elektrische en elektronische apparatuur (EEE) te beperken. De richtlijn is oorspronkelijk ingevoerd in 2002 (Richtlijn 2002/95/EG) en is sindsdien uitgebreid en aangepast via RoHS 2 (2011/65/EU) en RoHS 3 (2015/863/EU) om extra stoffen en categorieën apparatuur te omvatten.

Si une plaque en plastique ne dispose pas d'un certificat REACH, il existe différents risques et obligations liés à l'utilisation de cette substance. Il est important de savoir que les substances non enregistrées ne peuvent pas être mises sur le marché ni utilisées. Les producteurs et importateurs doivent enregistrer leurs substances et démontrer que l'utilisation de la substance est sûre. Si la substance ne possède pas de certificat REACH, il existe des restrictions ou des interdictions d'utilisation, en fonction des risques associés à la substance. L'Agence européenne des substances chimiques (ECHA) coordonne l'application de REACH et aide les entreprises à se conformer à la législation et à utiliser en toute sécurité les substances chimiques.

Naast de bovenstaande certificeringen die in het algemeen van toepassing zijn in de kunststof sector, zijn er een reeks van certificeringen die te maken hebben met de functie van de betreffende kunststof. Daaronder vallen de methode hoe het is geproduceerd, hoe het is bewerkt, welke specifieke functies er kunnen worden toegekend aan het betreffende product. Denk daarbij aan specifieke ISO normen, brandcertificeringen en typisch technische aspecten waar het product aan dient te voldoen.
