HIPS is light weight and ideal for indoor applications.

Polystyrene (HI)PS sheet

There are two types of polystyrene (PS): the so-called GPPS (general purpose polystyrene) and HIPS (high impact polystyrene). HIPS is available in all possible colors and is reinforced with rubber that gives the sheet its color. Despite this addition, HIPS remains 100% recyclable.

(GP)PS sheets are easy to process: sawing, milling, thermoforming, hot bending, and digital printing.

(GP)PS boards are used for poster protection, displays, and price lists, among other things.

HIPS is widely used for (vacuum-formed) device housings and plastic parts. The sheets are very smooth.

HIPS board - recycled

Recycled HIPS sheets are produced from remnants from industrial users. These remnants have never been used in an actual product. They are so-called cut-offs from industrial users.

Compared to new raw materials, CO2 emissions are 76% lower.
