Fire certifications in construction: safety

Aluminum sandwich panels exist in three categories:

1. The sandwich panels that are allowed to be used up to a height of 4 meters. These sandwich panels are filled with PE (polyethylene). These panels are also used for other signage and advertising applications.

2. In addition, there are fire-certified sandwich panels, which are used in construction even above 4 meters. These panels are, of course, better certified:

These A-PLUS aluminum composite panels have a fire-retardant, mineral filling. This is an excellent solution for creative applications where relatively low safety requirements are set. These panels have a fire certification of: Fire retardant (FR); B / s1 / d0.

An alternative (in black) is the product Compoplast. This composite panel has an equivalent fire certification, but is primarily used in construction and automotive sectors. It is a composite product from glass fibre and a core of PP (polypropylene), for this reason it can be cut like Plexiglass and thermoformed. Link to learn more about Compoplast:

3. The third and last category is our A2 panel, a non-combutible panel that fulfills all relavant worldwide standards. Thanks to its mineral filled core, the A2 panels are compliants with the most stringint fire and safety regulations. Thanks to these characteristics it can offer even greater scope forplanning and designing buildings.

Classification: non-combustible A2 / s1 / d0
